Villagers brighten widow's life

A poor woman whose husband passed away long ago, lived with her only
daughter in a makeshift hut in Gonagamuwa, Kitulgala.
The villagers collected money and built a house costing Rs. 5 lakhs.
The woman and her daughter thanked the villagers profusely and moved
into the new house.
When the Ruwanwella Electrical Engineer Charitha Dayaratne, heard of
the woman's plight his staff collected about 40,000 and the woman's home
was provide electricity. |
