Communist Party holds 20th National Congress

The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka will be held from July 25-27 at Ratnapura.

The ceremonial Opening Session of the three-day Congress Sessions will take place on July 25 (Friday) at 10.00 a.m. at the Ratnapura Town Hall. The Congress will review the International and National political situation, discuss current global and domestic issues, self-criticism assess the past activities and determine the new political strategy and tactical line for the next four years.

The leaders of fraternal and friendly political parties have been invited. Comrade Dew Gunasekara, General Secretary of the CPSL will make the keynote address.

Messages from the fraternal parties abroad will be presented.
