Lumbini enters Under 17 pre-quarter finals

Lumbini MV entered the pre-quarter finals of the schools under 17 division 1 cricket tournament when they trounced Vidyartha College Kandy 8 wickets at the BRC grounds yesterday.

Vidyartha were shot out for a paltry 77 in 32.1 overs with Thanuka Dabare ( 3 for 13), Saliya Maduwantha ( 3 for 15), Chanaka Devinda ( 2 for 22) doing most of the damage. In reply the home team utilised only six overs to reach the victory target for the loss of two wickets with Vimukthi Ellegoda striking an unbeaten 43.
