GCE (A/L) candidates warned of frauds

The Examinations Department will take strict action against GCE (A/L) candidates who commit frauds at the examination centres, said Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara. He said that such measures are needed to minimise the examination frauds.

To ensure the security and safety of examination centres islandwide, a mobile police security service would be set up during the GCE (A/L) examination from August, 5 to 29 2014, said W.M. Balasooriya, Director of Education at a meeting of school heads of the Kurunegala District held in Bingiriya Central College recently.
