Old Moratu Vidyalians take first innings lead

Old Moratu Vidyalians Sports Club has gained a first innings lead of 27 runs at the end of day one aginast Matugama Cricket Club in their inter-club Under-23 Division II Sara Trophy cricket match played at Moratuwa.

Visitors batting first, collapsed for 115 runs with Sujeewa Visvajith claiming 4 for 27 and in reply Old Moratu Vidyalians were 142 with Ashan Eranga scoring 57 and Chameera Dissanayake and Yomesh Ranasinghe claiming 4 for 71 and 4 for 42 respectively.

Matugama CC: 115 (Sanjaya Abeywardene 26, Isuru Amila 32, Sujeeva Visvajith 4/27, Ashan Eranga 2/31) and 40/2.

OMVSC: 142 (Ashan Eranga 57, Ramith Gunaratne 30, Chameera Dissanayake 4/71, Yomesh Ranasinghe 4/42).
