Asian Alliance introduces Buhuman

Asian Alliance Insurance with the Department of Pensions and Colombo RE Insurance Brokers, recently introduced a tailor-made insurance cover for retired senior citizens.

The Minister of Public Administration and Home Affairs, W. D. J. Seneviratne was also present at the launch.

Every pensioner under this cover will be empowered to face the challenges and sicknesses that may occur during their retired life. The policy is available under three insurance plans and pensioners may choose a policy depending on their financial strength.

They also have the facility of paying the monthly premium directly from their pension.

The Buhuman policy extends a range of benefits including personal accident, hospitalisation, funeral expenses and critical illness cover.

Director and CEO, Asian Alliance Insurance, Ramal Jasinghe said, "Our senior citizens have played an integral role in the development of Sri Lanka and we are today reaping the benefits of their many years of hard work. We devised this policy for pensioners as a way of showing our appreciation and gratitude to them for a life time of untiring contribution to society. The pensioners population is around 536,000 and 25,000 enter the database annually."
