Monthly allowance for Dhamma school teachers

Dhamma School teachers who count over 40 years of service will be paid a monthly allowance of Rs. 1000, Buddhist Affairs Commissioner General Chandrapema Gamage said at a ceremony at the Subodhirajarama MC Dodangoda to felicitate school teachers in the Dodangoda Pradeshiya Sasanarakshaka Bala Mandala area. Gamage said that the number of Dhamma school students in the country has increased during the past few years. The material development of a country largely depends on the need for spiritually developed citizens.

The Dhamma schools and Dhamma school teachers are invaluable to the country.

Dodangoda Divisional Secretary Nilanga Wettasinghe, Dodangoda Sasanarakshaka Balamandalaya registrar Ven. Halwathure Assaji Thera and President Ven. Rangalle Pagnasekara Thera were present.
