Pepper cultivation promoted in Wayamba

The NWP Agriculture Department will popularise pepper plantation among Samurdhi recipients in the Kurunegala and Puttalam districts. The main objective is to popularise pepper cultivation as a home garden project and use the land for production, said a senior technical officer of Agriculture Department, NWP.

He said that financial aid would be provided to the low income group families in the division to commence pepper cultivation as a self-employment project.
