LOLC health camp for employees
The LOLC Group organised a two-day health camp themed Neeroga at its
head office recently.
Nearly a thousand employees and their family members took part. This
is the first ever health and wellness event of this magnitude hosted by
the company.
The health camp was chiefly facilitated by the Human Resources
Division of the Group.
Group Managing Director and CEO of LOLC Kapila Jayawardena, senior
management and staff members were also present.
The Neeroga health camp featured several renowned health care
establishments.
Yoga instructor Chamin Warnakula, Zumba Instructor Nalinda Subasinghe,
Helpage Sri Lanka, Nestle, LOLC Insurance Company and students from the
Medical Faculty of Sri Jayawardenapura University also took part.
Parallel to the main event, there were a number of awareness sessions
and workshops conducted by renowned medical specialists and institutions
in relation to health and well-being, fitness, nutrition, ayurvedic
treatment, stress management, vision and hearing, identification and
prevention of contemporary ailments and health issues.
Participants were taught about the importance of maintaining a
healthy lifestyle and overall well-being.
Mobile clinics and stalls that were set up at the premises provided
employees an opportunity to undergo free medical checkups, vision tests,
obtain diagnoses and special discounts for further medical
investigations while facilitating other support. A blood donation
campaign was also organised during the event.
CEO Jayawardena said, "The LOLC Group comprises over 3,000 employees
and we have placed great emphasis on looking into their overall
well-being." "Over the years, as part of good HR practices we have
provided numerous medical and healthcare benefits to employees and
assisted them during emergency medical needs," he said. |
