Waidyatilaka ITO at Youth Olympic Games 2014

Representative for Youth Olympics (ITO): PHD Waidyatilaka who just returned from the Commonwealth Games 2014 in Glasgow on assignments as Technical delegate of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and International Technical Official of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).

He has been invited by the IAAF as an ITO for the 2nd Youth Olympic Games to be held from 16th to 28th August in Nanjing, China.

The inaugural Youth Olympic Games were held in Singapore in 2010 and Waidyatilaka was in the panel of International Technical Officials in Singapore too.

Waidya being one of the few ITOs remaining from the very first panel of ITOs qualified at the inception of the ITO scheme of the IAAF in 2001 is a popular choice for major competitions such as Olympic Games, World Championships and Commonwealth Games.
