Top two places for Ananda in Inter-school Golf

GOLF: Ananda College, Colombo won the annual ‘Inter-School Golf Championship conducted by the RCGC in association with the NDB at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) recently.

Ananda College came in as the clear winner and runner up of this exciting competition.

For the first time in Sri Lanka, ‘Dons Golf’ in association with the Royal Colombo Golf Club initiated the ‘RCGS Inter-School Golf Championship’ in 2013. The aim of this event was to launch a much needed inter-school tournament which was very much in demand, and has this year established itself as being a much awaited event in the golfing arena in the country.

The tournament was played on a five-ball stable ford basis and featured more than 240 Golfers from 22 schools including five girls school from all over Sri Lanka. This championship was organized under a big match theme and is the second time such an event has been held in the history of golf in Sri Lanka.
