No garbage problem in Matale

The Matale Municipal Council has introduced a garbage management program, to maintain the cleanliness of the city and two garbage recycling centres, are to be setup at Dole Road and Hikgolla.

Officials of the Municipality said that, at present, over 25 metric tons of garbage, accumulate in the area and it can be used for compost fertilizer production to earn a considerable income to the Council.
