An ‘Open-Day’ program was held at the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) recently to educate A/L students and their parents. The aim was to educate the public on degree programs available at the KDU and facilities and opportunities offered by the KDU. Since 2011 eight degree programs in Medicine, Engineering, Law, Allied Health Science, Management, Social Sciences and Humanities, Research and Development, and Defence and Strategic studies were made available. The Southern campus in Suriyawewa will commence its academic sessions in 2015.
