Pasan Suvahas bowls St Benedict's Under 13 to first innings win

Pasan Suvahas (6 for 12) bowled St Bendict's College Under-13 to a first innings win over Veluvana College in their first match of the season, played at the Railway Grounds, Dematagoda on Wedensday.

Batting first, Veluvana College U13 were bowled out for 45 as Pasan Suvahas (6 for 12) and Yohan Nimesh (3 for ) shared nine wickets in quick time. In reply, St Bendict's College U13 made 119 for 7 wickets and declared the innings.

Abhishek Perera made a fine half century (51) while Kaviru Tharanga scored 29. For Veluvana College U13, Risatha Sankalpa took three wickets. At close, Veluvana College were 79 for six wickets, Samindu Himasha captured 4 for 21).

Veluvana College U13: 45 all out (Pasindu Suvahas 6 for 12, Yohan Nimesh 3 for 0) and 79 for 6 wickets (Chamika Jayamal 40, Samindu Himasha 4 for 21).

St Benedict's College U13: 119 for 7 wickets (Abhishek Perera 51, Kaviru Tharanga 29, Risatha Sankalpa 3 for 29).
