Hacking: CASL educates financial professionals
The
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CASL) conducted a
seminar last week targeting financial professionals to educate them on
the A to Z of hacking.
The seminar educated professionals on how to secure their financial
data, while helping them understand if their company data has been
hacked.
The program organised by Tech One Learning was conducted by Sumann
Subramaniam, a professional in the discipline. He provided a detailed
overview covering several important aspects including how hackers gain
unauthorised access to data in a system or computer.
Subramaniam outlined counter measures, securing the environment they
work in and how attackers behave and scan networks. There was a focus on
popular social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and
the hacking vulnerabilities they possess.
The target group for the seminar were information security managers,
IT and corporate security managers, corporate governance managers, risk
and compliance teams, IT auditors and senior managers responsbile for IT
governance of an enterprise.
Subramaniam is a Microsoft Certified Trainer and a Certified
EC-Council Instructor. He is a graduate in software engineering and
counts over nine years' experience in the field of training deliveries
and facilitation. |
