Wayamba Deyata Kirula costs Rs. 6,000 million

The government spent Rs. 6,000 million for development work in the Kurunegala and Puttalam districts last year under the Deyata Kirula-2014 national development program.

Under the Deyata Kirula-2015 National Development program, the Ministry of Economic Development has allocated Rs 7,525 million to develop Galle, Matara, Hambantota and Ratnapura districts.

These funds would be utilised to provide pure-drinking water facilities, restoration of rural roads, constructing weekly-fairs and community centres, said former Divisional Secretary for Bingiriya, W.E. Jayathilake at a meeting of Grama Niladharis of the Kurunegala District held recently in Bingiriya.
