Minister of Public Management Reforms,
Navin Dissanayake opened the water supply scheme for the
Madanwala Purana Raja Maha Viharaya, Haguranketha recently.
Here the Minister is filling water into a pot to offer to
the Bo tree. Ven. Wellagiriye Sri Sumangala thera,
provincial councillor, Jayarathna Dissanayake and large
number of people from the area were present.
The General Assembly of the Asia-Pacific
Broadcasting Union was held in Macau, China recently. The
Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC) was given the
opportunity of participating in the occasion and was elected
to the Administrative Council of the ABU at the Assembly
sessions. The Corporaion represented Sri Lanka at this

Liyanage and Assistant Director, SLRC Anil Sirimalwatte pose
with the General Secretary Jaward Motagi and the Deputy
President of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, Ahamed

Nalanda College teams won the Overall
Championship, Junior Championship and the first three places
at the 17th Cofas International Computer Olympiad 2014 held
in Lucknow, India recently. Here the team, Deelaka Udara,
Manula Ransika, Roshana Imantha, Mahela Nipun Indeewara,
Deneth Sadeepa, Ashane Kavinda Gunarathne, Pasan Sanjula
Senanayake, Mithsara Dasanayake, Thisal Dewmith, Vineth
Vidmal Gunathilaka and the teachers, Ms. Chaturani
Ranasinghe and Ms. Manel Ranawaka with the Principal of
Nalanda College, Brevet Col. Ranjith Jayasundara, on arrival
at the Bandaranaike International Airport.
A health camp was held recently on
communicable diseases for senior citizens in the Napawala
Grama Niladhari Division of Dehiowita Divisional
Secretariat, organised by M.O.H. Dr. D.P.M.S. Madatuwa. Here
the area PHI, C.B.M. Bandula advises some senior citizens
while Grama Niladhari Nilani Hettiarachchi and some
Divisional Secretariat officials look on.
