Bee keeping villages set up

The Wayamba Agriculture Ministry will launch a bee keeping village program in the Puttalam and Kurunegala districts to raise the villagers, living standards.

The program targets housewives and women who could rear the bee hives at home. They could earn about Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000 per month by selling bee's honey.

Boxes for bee keeping were distributed at Alawwa, under the patronage of NWP Agriculture Minister Sanath Nishanta Perera.
