A master of disguise

If you have to face an embarrassing situation and you want to change your identity or become somebody else, just meet Lucia Pittalis, 43-year-old Italian make up artist and portrait painter, who has the ability to give you a new face with just a few strokes of make up. She is a master of disguise.

All she needs are a few cosmetics, make-up tools and wigs.

Upto now she has not tried to use her talents to mislead the law or such institution due to someone's wrong decisions but what she has mostly done is to turn herself into famous musicians, actors and fictional characters - male and female. You name it she'll form herself into that particular personality.

Some of Lucia's most epic transformations have been into icons such as Iggy Azales and movie characters such as Rambo, Rocky and Don Vito Corleone.

"I give myself enough time to study my new character, being close to his or her image and having time to relax and paint my face," she said. "Sometimes it can be weeks and sometimes it's days, depends on the inspiration." Lucia said that she uses a mix of various brands of make-up for her work, along with wax and collodion when she needs them. "I buy old stuff at markets such as wigs and accessories - it is extremely fun searching for good stuff to create a character."

Her most time-consuming transformation so far has been Sylvester Stallone's Rocky - it took her over five hours because she posted three different variations, with and without bruises. Her favourite one is Bette Davis, because she has a "deep love for such a great actress and talent." Lucia also has a bit of advice for people who want to try their own make-up transformations: "Love a character and have fun to create with your own possibilities."

Five-day jail term for overgrown yard

It is the law in Lenoir City, Tennessee, if your garden is not properly maintained, if it had overgrown trees, bushes, you will be at fault, The result will be a jail term.

This is what Karen Holloway had to undergo when an inspection party from the local council visited her yard. They found overgrown trees, bushes and a very unhealthy environment. Although she said this state of affairs was due to some family issues, that was not good enough.

Her case was referred to Court. Judge Terry Vann heard the case and handed down a five-day jail sentence but amended it to six hours. Holloway turned herself at the jail.
