Sampath Bank bags Gold at Annual Report Awards

Sampath Bank won the Gold award in the Banking Institutions category and the Bronze award for Overall Excellence in Annual Financial Reporting at the 50th Annual Report Award Ceremony organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) at the Nelum Pokuna recently.

The recognition of Sampath Bank for its unstinted commitment, reiterates the bank's level of compliance to Accounting Standards, sustainability reporting, legislative needs and comprehensiveness.

It emphasises Sampath Bank's initiative to exceed expectations and deliver a customised and user-friendly product to all stakeholders.

Group Chief Financial Officer Ranjith Samaranayake said, "At Sampath Bank we constantly improve our methods and adherence to standards to give all shareholders and readers, the best report possible.

Our focus has never been on winning an award but about presenting the reader a holistic understanding of the key happenings in our organisation."

From inception, Sampath Bank publishes the entire annual report in the Sinhala and English languages.
