LankaClear wins awards
Sri Lanka's national payment infrastructure provider, LankaClear (Pvt)
Limited was again recognised for its business excellence in the
Infrastructure and Utilities Sector where it received an award for the
second consecutive year at the National Business Excellence Awards
ceremony in Colombo recently.
The Silver Award was received by LankaClear General Manager and CEO
Sunimal Weerasooriya and DGM, IT and Operations, Harsha Wanigatunga.
The National Business Excellence Awards is hosted by the National
Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka to recognise enterprises that have
demonstrated business excellence while contributing positively to
economic growth and development.
This is the second consecutive year that LankaClear emerged a winner
at the ceremony, taking home the Gold Award under the same sector in
2013.
LankaClear is one of the leading and progressive payment
infrastructure solutions providers in the Asian region and it recently
launched the Common Card and Payment Switch (CCAPS) under the brand name
LankaPay.
The LankaPay network has been designed to become the backbone for all
future electronic transactions in the country, which will facilitate
seamless connectivity coupled with online real time payments.
