People's Leasing wins Silver at SLITAD awards
People's Leasing and Finance PLC (PLC) won a silver award at the
SLITAD People Development Awards 2014 for its human resources
development best practices. The awards ceremony was held at the Galadari
recently.

The SLITAD awards recognise public and private sector organisations
that demonstrate a progressive approach towards nurturing and developing
their human resources and thereby linking its people development
policies and practices directly in line with business strategies.
The SLITAD awards organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Training
and Development, is the country's sole professional entity dedicated to
the promotion of best practices in people development.
People's Leasing, Group Human Resources Chief Manager Uresh
Jayasekara said this recognition by SLITAD on the emphasis made on its
'people' by the PLC adds immense credibility to the company.
He said the company has achieved many feats through the decades by
being friendly to staff and at the macro level to customers.
"PLC's core competency is its talented people. We treat our staff as
best assets and groom them to become future managers.
Training, development, retention and welfare are part and parcel of
our human resource strategies," he said.
"Since the PLC Group has an open door policy, views of all employees
