Astra holds baking festival

Astra has teamed up with The Kingsbury to create an innovative baking festival, 'Bakefest', an edible mini wonderland.

The Astra-Kingsbury mini wonderland is open to the public and includes creations of ginger bread houses, candy canes, snowmen and Christmas trees. It concludes on December 25.

These have been made using Astra and other ingredients, Astra Brand Manager Rovini Illukumbura said.

Astra has also introduced an easy to bake recipe every day, to encourage everyone to bake, including those who don't bake more often, Category Head - Foods, Unilever Sri Lanka, Ms Shamara de Silva said.

The recipes have been introduced on the Astra Sri Lanka facebook page, from which the recipe can be downloaded. "We are certain that everyone will get into the baking mood with our easy to make recipes," she said. - SJ
