Unilever Challenge empowers university students
The Unilever Challenge to empower university students with real life
business know-how and exposing them to brand management concluded
recently.
The Challenge, 'Lipton Talent Hunt' which is being held for the
second consecutive year gave the students a platform to showcase their
talents and skills.
The competition saw 40 teams from 10 universities in the private and
public sector participating and their task was to develop an innovative
campaign with the given case study, Lipton Brand Manager, Unilever Sri
Lanka, Ms Abitha Pathmanathan said.
"In addition to giving the participants an over-all sense of working
on an actual real life campaign for a product, it also gave them the
unique window on the way business is done in the real world of consumer
marketing. The competition was structured in three stages where the
process enabled them to go from one level to another to gain an
insightful experience," she said.
The winner of the grand competition was - and entered the assessment
centre of the Unilever management trainee program.
The three best people will have the opportunity to visit London to
represent Sri Lanka at the Future Leaders League. - SJ
