Two-year institutional training for all untrained teachers

The Ministry of Education has planned to train all the untrained school teachers in govt. and approved schools and pirivenas countrywide. Accordingly, these untrained teachers would be provided with study leave with pay for two years to be trained at Government Teachers' Training College.

The Secretary to the Ministry of Education Anura Dissanayake told Sunday Observer that two-year institutional training would be provided to the applicants for 2015/2016 academic year. The closing date for applications would be 28.12.2014 and information in this regard can be obtained from the Government Gazette notification on 28.11.2014.
