Dilshan memorable 300th one day

Prolific all-rounder T.M. Dilshan made his 300th One Day match a memorable one by scoring a century and completing 9,000 runs in oneday international matches. This he did during the 7th ODI against England at R. Premadasa Stadium.

Dilshan scored 101 recording his 18th one day century. He is now 3rd batsman in the list of highest one day century makers. Record breaking batsman Sanath Jayasuriya leading with 28 centuries and Kumar Sangakkara comes second with 20 centuries.

The best innings recorded by Dilshan are 160 N.O. Vs India (2012) in Hobart, 160 vs India (2009) in Rajkot, 137 N.O.vs Pakistan (2009) in Lahore, 115 N.O. Vs South Africa (2013) in Pallekele, and 125 vs Bangladesh (2013) in Hambantota. Dilshan was once out for 9 against South Africa in 2013 at the R. Premadasa Stadium.

He also made his 250th one day match a memorable one. This was in 2012 at Pallekele Stadium. Dilshan scored 102 not out. His century came with a six. Sri Lanka Cricket fans wish that Dilshan will continue his batting form in the coming matches.
