NCCSL seminar on Exchange Control Regulations

A seminar on 'Changes in Exchange Control Regulations' organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) will be held on February 25 from 3 to 5 p.m at the Chamber auditorium, D R Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.

The guest speaker will be the Controller of Exchange, D M Rupasinghe.

The other speakers will be Senior Assistant Controller of Exchange, Head of Investments and Investigations, Mrs Pavithri Vithanage, and Senior Assistant Controller of Exchange, Head of Commercial Transactions Division, Central Bank, Kapila Weerakoon.

A panel discussion will follow.

The objective of the seminar is to explain the new policy measures and practical aspects of Exchange Control regulations. Topics that would be covered are recent developments and types of accounts introduced, basic exchange control related concepts, foreign currency accounts for residents, rupee accounts for non-residents, how to receive foreign investments into Sri Lanka, investment opportunities available for foreigners, Securities Investment Account and the latest regulations in commercial transactions.
