Gateway Kandy wins all Gateway Under 15 Soccer Final

Gateway’s Sesith Ariyawansa was named the Best Goalkeeper of
the Tournament. Other team members included Aqeib Dooray,
Kevin Santhosh, Naaquib Ashraff, Disura Dissanayake,
Mathurshan Mathawakumara, Sadana Karunarathne, Dumindu
Ambaruppa, Dihan Samarasinghe, Pornthichai Yeamplab, Mohamed
Suhaib, Mohamed, Arfath, Ameen Kazni, Mohammed Meera and
Ahammed Maruwan.

Gateway College, Kandy has risen in soccer in the recent past by
emerging as Champions of the Under 15 age group at the Inter-
International Schools Competition.
The tournament that was organised by the Royal Institute saw much
interest among the boys of all leading International Schools in Sri
Lanka.
At the Under 15 final, Gateway Kandy beat Gateway Colombo by 1-0. At
the Semi-Final, Gateway beat Royal Institute 2-1 and at the
Quarter-Final, they overcame Alethea International School 1-0.
In the preliminary stage, Gateway beat Lyceum International School,
Ratnapura 2-0 and received walk-overs from Belvoir College and CIS Kandy.
