CIC launches gel to combat pests

CIC Crop Solutions' Lawn and Garden Division, a part of CIC Holdings PLC recently launched Optigard Gels, a consumer-friendly pest control solution to get rid of ants and cockroaches.

A resource line is available at the CIC head office for more information on both products. The gels act as bait and two versions have been formulated to specifically target ants and cockroaches.

Placing a drop of the gel in areas affected by ants or cockroaches leads to their consuming it and eventually being killed. An additional benefit of the insecticide gels is that when the ant or cockroach dies after consuming the gel bait, the insecticide remains within them.

When the insects come in contact with each other, the insecticide spreads and ultimately leads to the effective elimination of an entire colony of pests.
