Two new faculties for Wayamba University

Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has taken steps to provide the Wayamba University in Kuliyapitiya with two new faculties.

A Law faculty and a Medical faculty would be set up. A land of 15 acres close to the Wayamba University has been identified for this purpose. The Divisional Secretary - Kuliyapitiya - West has been asked to initiate the acquisition of the land. Rs. 150 million would be provided for the projects, a Senior official of the Ministry of Education told the Sunday Observer.
