Over 490 graduate at NSBM Convocation

The second convocation of the National School of Business Management
(NSBM) was held at the BMICH last week.
Those who completed the Degree and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD)
courses received their certificates from Deputy Minister of Highways,
Higher Education and Investment Promotion, Eran Wickramaratne and
Chairman of NSBM and NIBM, Dr.Karunasena Kodithuwakku.
The NSBM conducts courses approved by the University Grants
Commission (UGC) in cooperation with the University College in Dublin,
National University of Ireland (NUI).
This year, 495 students graduated and the Post Graduate Diploma was
in the disciplines of Business Management, Human Resource Management,
Industrial Management, Project Management, Computer Network and Software
Engineering and the Bsc Special Degree Programs offered Management
Information Systems and Business Management specialising in Human
Resource Management, Industrial Management, Project Management and
Logistics Management.
The first batch of Post Graduate Diplomates and second batch of those
who passed the BSc Special Degree programs conducted by NSBM also
obtained their degrees at the Convocation.
Ms. Dananjani Jayawickrama presented the best performers award of the
BSc Business Management Degree to Ms. P.A.Sashini Praboda. The best
performers award in the BSc Logistics Management Degree was won by
Nayana Praboda Ranasinghe.Ms.T.G. Hashara Kalpani won the overall best
performers award in 2015.
Chairman, NSBM and NIBM, Dr. Karunasena Kodithuwakku said, "The
country needs your contribution to achieve development goals, economic
and the industrial targets. I call upon all those who graduated today to
be the stakeholders of the country's development process.
Secretary to the Highways, Higher Education and Investment Promotion
Ministry P. Ranepura, Chief Executive Officer, NSBM, Dr. E.A.
Weerasinghe and the parents of the graduates were also present.
