Shakespeare Centre to hold training program

The Shakespeare Centre, Sri Lanka has called for applications for the 10th group of trainees. Special attention will be given to cinematography including the basics of drama and theatre.

The trainees will be given the chance to participate in Othello, Macbeth and Hamlet stage productions and the Hamlet film production, in acting and in other sections. Practical and theoretical knowledge will be provided by veteran artistes and the training program will be conducted by a local and foreign educated artiste on drama and theatre as well as cinematography.

Lawrencege Manamali

Sujeewa Priyal Yaddehige's Lawrencege Manamali will be staged at the Lionel Wendt Theatre, Colombo 7 on March 7 at 3.30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The cast includes Duleeka Marapana, Sampath Jayaweera, Maali Jayaweerage, Sujeewa Priyal Yaddehige and Hemantha Prasad.
