IGP effects police transfers

SSP B.R.S.R.Nagahamulla, Director of the Police Building Department has been transferred as Director, CID from yesterday while SSP D.R.Ranaweera who was Director, CID, has been transferred as Director, Inspection and Review, according to police spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana.

IGP N.K.Ilangakoon yesterday ordered the transfers with immediate effect under approval from the Ministry of Public Order, Disaster Management and Religious Affairs, the police spokesman said.

The following transfers were also ordered from yesterday, he said.

SSP W.L.A.S.Priyantha Weerasooriya of the police headquarters has been transferred as Director, Police Supplies Division while DIG L.S.Pathinayake, Director of the Police Supplies Department has been transferred to the Buildings Department in his place.
