ComBank helps two community-based organisations

The Commercial Bank of Ceylon assisted two rural community-based organisations managing water supply schemes to automate their billing, with a donation of computers and other equipment.

The Aththanakadawala Rural Water Supply and Environmental Society and the Ikiriwewa Pinipokuna community based organisation received donations to manage two water projects in Elahera, in the Ratnapura district.

Around 1,400 families in the Elahera area receive clean water 24 hours of the day through the two water supply projects.

The two organisations were in need of equipment to maintain and update their daily records, computerise the billing system and to photocopy various leaflets and documents.
