Most outstanding players at All-Island Open Ranking TT Championships

Musaeus College school girl Ruwini Kannangara and Vidyartha College's
Krishan Wickremaratne clinched doubles to win the most outstanding
players award for girls and boys at the All-island Open Ranking Table
Tennis Championship organised by the Western Province Table Tennis
Association and worked off at Bandula Gunewardane Indoor Stadium of
Lumbini College, Colombo last week.
Seventeen year-old Ruwini Kannangara - a former Junior National
Champion was in good form, winning the girls under 18 singles title
winning over highly talented Hansani Piumila of Visakha Vidyalaya and
also the girls under 21 singles. She also went up to quarter - finals in
the Open Women event.
Krishan Wickremaratne won boys under 21 singles event and also the
boys under 21 singles event by margin of 3-0 which was a one way traffic
for him in the absence of Udaya Ranasinghe.
The open event for Men was won by Rohan Sirisena and for Women by
Erandi Warusawitharna
