Royal Hills Hotel - refurbishment nears completion

The new management of Royal Hills Hotel, Upper Lake Road, Nuwara Eliya, has invested Rs. 50 million to make the property a star attraction.

Formerly known as Anish Park, Royal Hills built at a breathtaking location, has the modern facilities of a star-class hotel, its chairman, Ranjeewa Fonseka said.

The hotel has 16 guest rooms in operation. Five more guest rooms are being built, to meet the demand of not only foreign tourists, but also Sri Lankans.

Under the refurbishment plan, an elevator is being installed and the lobby will be extended and provided with a fire-place. The restaurant in being extended to accommodate more guests and will have BBQ facilities.

Resident Manager, Royal Hills Hotel, Priyantha de Silva and his staff work round the clock to see that the hotel is fully refurbished and ready for the April season.

de Silva said that special discounted packages will be offered to Sri Lankan families to enjoy a memorable holiday in 'Little England', during the season.
