Abans provides free solar power
Among the many CSR projects conducted by Abans PLC is the supply and
installation of LG Mono X Neon solar power systems, free, to seven
deserving charitable institutions.
Abans with LG Electronics is a part of these CSR projects that have
helped to enrich the lives of some of the less fortunate.
The cost of the equipment amounted to US$ 76,000 and was funded with
the assistance of LG Welfare Foundation.
LG Mono X Neon Solar Systems are one of the most efficient,
technologically advanced solar panels in the market, recording high
output by minimising power generation losses.
The current energy crisis and high cost of electricity provides a
good reason for switching to solar energy, with eco-friendly solar
energy systems and in the process help to preserve our fossil fuel
resources, while not adding any carbon foot print to the environment.
Abans Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, a part of the Abans Group of companies,
handles the installation of LG solar power systems.
Identifying seven deserving institutions, Abans conducted a survey
and study of the institutions to determine the power needs of each
institution, to ensure that the systems installed would meet the power
needs of the institutions.
As per the survey and study LG solar power systems were installed at
the Cancer Hospital, Maharagama, Balika Lama Nivasaya, Gangodawila,
Anula Wijerama Child Home in Balapitiya, Tikiri Sevana Lama Nivasaya in
Udaparadeniya, Granvil Wickramaratna Lama Nivasaya in Kelaniya, D.P
Wijesinghe Lama Nivasaya for Girls in Bentota andViharamahadevi Balika
Lama Nivasaya in Malwana. These institutions that were subjected to
fairly high electricity charges can now forget about electricity bills
for the next 25 years.
Abans have also extended to them the 25 years warranty and free
services which they offer normal customers.
