Samsung introduces advanced smart phones

Samsung Electronics unveiled its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge one of the
world's most advanced smart phones to the Sri Lankan market at the Nelum
Pokuna theatre in Colombo.
The new entries into the Samsung Galaxy smartphone series has
improved specifications.
Sri Lanka is among the select 20 countries chosen by Samsung for the
first phase launch of Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.
Samsung, Southwest Asia, Corporate Communications, Vice President
Rajeev Mishra said, "We invest a lot in R&D. We've spent over $ 14
billion on R&D and that is the reason why our products are closest to
what the consumers want."The most prominent advancement is its battery
life and the process of charging the devices. The phone can be fully
charged in 30 minutes, which they claimed was half the time it takes to
fully charge competing smartphone brands.
Significantly, the battery is not changeable, meaning that the phones
will feature a built-in battery that could even be charged wirelessly.
Samsung Sri Lanka Managing Director Youngmin Shin said that Samsung
was raising the bar for design, craftsmanship and performance through
the two products while shedding some light into Samsung's core
philosophy of 'Design with Purpose'.
"The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will transform the smartphone
market in Sri Lanka, offering a superlative experience. I am excited
that Sri Lankan consumers will be among the first to experience the
devices of the future," Shin said.
The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will be available in Sri Lanka from mid
April. |
