CTC recognises the 'Spark' in its employees

The winners at Spark Awards 2015

Ceylon Tobacco Company (CTC) introduced the 'Spark Awards' to recognise people with a 'spark' to do something different and deliver something out of the ordinary in the course of business.

The awards centred on felicitating the employees of CTC's supply chain.

Supply Chain Director Shah Mansoor Khalil said, "At CTC, we believe in inspiring employees to fulfill their potential as world-class professionals. Recognition and celebration is part of the company's culture and we are proud of it. We launched the Spark Awards to felicitate high performing people within the supply chain and company. Talent development is not only our aim at company level but we also believe this to be a responsibility to society and the country."

Each of the departments making up the supply chain function at CTC was given the opportunity to nominate those who achieved exceptional results. Of the seventeen nominations received, six were selected.

Nishantha Perera, Anil Botheju, Jude Fernando, Nalin Madiwaka, Samadhi Thanthirige and Jayashantha Jeewapriya received the inaugural Spark award in recognition of their invaluable contribution towards business.
