Super balloon launch delayed due to weather
Due to heavy winds blowing in the wrong direction, NASA have decided
not to risk their super balloon operation and postpone the launch.
The super balloon launch has been a lengthy organising process due to
the sheer size of the balloon.
The balloon, which is the size of a sports stadium, is carrying
equipment designed to test atmospheric conditions and the origins of the
universe.
While the launch was scheduled to be last week in Central Otago,
Cyclone Pam prohibited this from happening. The next launch is likely to
be from Wanaka Airport on Thursday or Friday.
