UN Asst. Secy. General on a week-long visit

UN Assistant Secretary General Haoliang Xu is reached Colombo on an official visit yesterday (4). According to the UN office in Colombo, Haoliang Xu will remain in Sri Lanka till April 10.

The Assistant Secretary General is scheduled to hold discussions with high-ranking state officials, civil society organisations, and development partners, for a needs assessment in the backdrop of political changes taking place in the island.

Xu is also scheduled to visit the North and North Central provinces.
