Manjula de Silva appointed Chairman, NITF

Manjula de Silva has been appointed Chairman of the National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF) by the Minister of Policy Planning and Economic Affairs.

De Silva had his primary and secondary education at Royal College, Colombo and obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Economics (Hons) degree from the University of Colombo and his Masters in Business Administration from the London Business School, UK. He is also a FCMA (UK) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

Prior to this appointment, he was the Managing Director of HNB Assurance PLC and HNB General Insurance Ltd. He also held the post of Director General of Public Enterprises Reforms Commission (PERC) of Sri Lanka, and a committee member and Chairman of the Steering Committee on Insurance of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. Current Deputy Chairman of CIMA Sri Lanka Division Manjula was also a Past President of the Insurance Association of Sri Lanka (IASL) and the Unit Trust Association of Sri Lanka (UTASL).
