Review Summary: It’s incredibly refreshing to see a comedy aimed at adults, and while I may not be middle-aged, I found myself nodding my head in agreement throughout Noah Baumbach’s smart observations on the generational gap that exists today. Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts inhabit real, lived-in characters that feel like actual people you might run into on the street.

Adam Driver and Amanda Seyfried continue to impress with two very naturalistic performances, both hiding unknown depth under the surface. The film asks thought-provoking questions about modern technology, friendship and even documentaries that will likely cause deep discussions afterward. These are all rare occurrences in a modern comedy, and While We’re Young is one of the best I’ve seen in years.
