PIM introduces MBA in Taxation
The Master of Business Administration degree program in Taxation will
be launched soon by the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM).
This program will be initially conducted for employees of the
Department of Inland Revenue and, thereafter, it will be opened for the
public. The relevant MoU was signed recently between the PIM and the
Department of Inland Revenue. The Commissioner General of Inland
Revenue, Mrs. Kalyani Dahanayake and Director, Postgraduate Institute of
Management, Dr. Ajantha S. Dharmasiri were the signatories.
This program will enhance the managerial and taxation skills of
officials of the Department of Inland Revenue, which in turn will
contribute to better administration and higher performance of the
Department. Since the degree program has been coupled with the promotion
scheme of the Department, the qualification will serve as a need for the
carrier development of officers. |
