Union Bank opens 10 ATMs
Union Bank of Colombo PLC opened 10 new ATMs in Colombo and its
suburbs recently, further expanding on its premise of bringing greater
banking convenience to customers across Sri Lanka.
The new ATMs are at Attidiya, Divulapitiya, Kiribathgoda, Kirulapone,
Mabola, Marine Drive - Kollupitiya, Walana - Panadura, Pannipitiya,
Punchi Borella and Soysapura - Moratuwa. This is the first phase of an
ongoing islandwide channel development initiative.
Union Bank ATMs focus on bringing banking convenience to people’s
neighbourhoods, to carry out day-to-day banking with greater ease and
comfort.
Through LankaPay, Cirrus and Maestro networks that have been enabled
on the ATMs, non-Union Bank customers can also access their bank
accounts. The ATMs are equipped with added security, enhancing safety of
transactions. Union Bank customers can access their bank account details
from over 2,000 ATMs across Sri Lanka.
Chief Executive Officer, Union Bank, Indrajit Wickramasinghe said,
“We are dedicated to increasing our footprint in Sri Lanka, and the
expansion of our alternate channels such as ATMs, is crucial to ensure
our continued growth.
The ATMs will also enable us to provide customers with easy access to
their funds.”
The network expansion is an integral part of Union Bank’s ongoing
development efforts to position the bank as a full-fledged commercial
bank focusing on the retail, SME and corporate sectors. Union Bank is
revamping its comprehensive product portfolio and will also launch
several new products in the future. |
