Dreamron to expand global footprint
Dreamron, a cosmetics company with an annual turnover of Rs.1
billion, is expanding its local and global footprint.
"We have made major strides in increasing our market share and aim to
be global leader in cosmetics and beauty care products," Chairman,
Dreamron, Dr. Priyanka Perera told the company's customer appreciation
event in Negombo last week.
The company manufactures 20 percent of its products for the local
market and the rest for exports at its state-of-the-art factory in
Horana.
"We will expand our manufacturing capacity to cater to the growing
local market by setting up another state-of-the-art factory with an
investment of Rs. 70 million," he said.
Dreamron exports beauty care products to 26 countries and has
obtained ISO certifications on quality standards and best practices.
"The secret of Dreamron's success, is primarily, the maintenance of
good relationships with stakeholders. We will conduct customer
appreciation events in Galle and Kandy soon," Perera said.
Director, Dreamron, Deepal Nelson said the Dreamron College of Art
and Beauty has produced over 7,000 students at various levels, such as
certificate, diploma, NVQ and City and Guilds.
"Our CSR is focused on skills development and hands-on training in
the beauty industry. Our target is to upgrade the beauty industry into a
totally professionally-led industry on a par with international
standards by 2020," he said.
The Dreamron College of Art and Beauty, a Corporate Social
Responsibility project of the company provides career enhancement
educational programs for youth.
"We conduct Japanese language courses for a large number of youth
keen to secure employment in Japan. Our aim is to enhance the skills of
youth and secure their future," Nelson said.
Dreamron which launched operations in 1998 has received local and
international accolades and has been recognised for efficient water
management.
