My friend Hon Dinesh Gunawardene had raised several
questions in Parliament on the appointment of the Central Bank Governor.
I wish, therefore, to make a detailed statement to the House in this
regard, which I am happy would enable me to explain one dark era of our
country and also elucidate the actual facts.
