KWA Architects won two awards at the Asia Pacific Property Awards in
Kuala Lumpur recently. The award for 'Best Hotel Architecture - Sri
Lanka' was presented to the Reefs Edge Hotel project in Uswetakeiyawa
and a 'Commendation' under 'Public Service Interior Sri Lanka' was
awarded for interior designs of the Expo Rail railway carriages.
The Asia Pacific Property Awards are part of the long-established
International Property Awards and the winners are recognised for
excellence in the global construction industry.
KWA Architects was the only Sri Lankan architectural firm to win at
this year's awards ceremony.
Lord Courtown from the House of Lords in the British Parliament and
President, International Property Awards, Stuart Shield made the
presentations along with members of the sponsorship organisations.
Partner, KWA Architects, Thilan Koththigoda said, "We are delighted
to be among multiple award winners, the very first time we entered for
the awards. International recognition of this nature certainly
encourages us to continue working on great architecture."
KWA Architects was set up in 2008 as a Chartered Architectural
Practice and has been involved in projects in hospitality, retail,
residential sectors and high specification interior design projects. |
