BCD Travel ties up with Travelpass

BCD Travel has entered into a strategic partnership with Travelpass in Sri Lanka. Travelpass, a subsidiary of Sharmila Travels, has seven branches in the country.

"Sharmila Travels has a strong presence in Sri Lanka and its subsidiary, Travelpass, shares our focus on travel innovation and the customer experience," said President of Asia Pacific, BCD Travel, Greg O'Neil.

"This partnership is proof of our ongoing commitment to deliver value-added travel solutions to national and multinational customers around the globe," he said.

Set up in 1985, Sharmila Travels offers a range of travel services under various travel brands. Travelpass began as an online travel agency, but has evolved into a full-service corporate travel management company.The company has strong affiliations with SriLankan Airlines, Mihin Lanka and SriLankan Holidays.

"By partnering with BCD Travel, we gain exposure to its leading technology tools and corporate travel management solutions.

We look forward to introducing these BCD Travel-developed tools and best practices to Sri Lankan corporations to help them align their travel policy with strategic goals and help them reduce travel spend," said Managing Director, Travelpass, Pradeep Kumar.

The office of BCD Travel Sri Lanka was opened recently by ,Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake. President, Asia Pacific, BCD Travel, Greg O Neil and Chairman, Sharmila Travels, Muthusamy. The opening ceremony was attended by several representatives from the corporate, airline and hospitality industries.

"BCD Travel Sri Lanka hopes to create a new world of corporate travel. One that is relevant, intelligent,

connected and responsive. We believe every Sri Lankan corporate needs such a travel management program." Pradeep Kumar said.
