Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT) was recognised at an ICT event in Sri Lanka, INET Colombo 2015, for its contribution in pioneering networking and the advancement of the internet in Sri Lanka over the past 20 years. Former Managing Director, SLT, P.K. Wickramarachi (1991 to 1995), GM,SME Solutions, SLT, Ajith Silva and GM, Enterprise Solutions, SLT, M.I. Deen were awarded plaques of appreciation for the roles played in leading the development of networking and internet. SLT with its dedicated staff, has been responsible for driving ICT in Sri Lanka, passionately committed to making ICT available to the masses at affordable prices.
